Whatever it is, I bet it doesn't get six million views and counting on YouTube...
Now I know there's nothing revolutionary here but if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? And this... this is pretty good, I reckon? What do you think?
I'll be 70 in August (hint, hint) and while I can't jump all over the place like Mick, I can do a slow dance burn in my kitchen. Does that answer your question?
It was being given blanket airplay on mainstream radio a few weeks ago when I had taken to decorating the bedroom - Heard it many times that week and thought it was quite good but of course wondered if it had been written specifically for "the times" as back then our town was a Ghost Town. Turns out it hadn't been, but Mick did change some of the lyrics for the new normal.

ReplyDeleteNice!
DeleteI'm playing the extended mix of "Street Life" by the Crusaders at the moment so can I get back to you on the Stones song?
ReplyDeleteThat's not bad, actually... although I can't help but wonder if Mick has chosen to sing a cod-reggae vocal as a tribute to The Specials.
ReplyDeleteI thought the same!
DeleteBy the way, I'm just compiling this week's Hot 100 and nobody has guessed the winning tune. I had you down for it too! #6?
ReplyDeleteI'll come over your way and see if the only thing I can think of has been suggested already...

ReplyDeleteThat's interesting, I'd assumed it had been written specifically for these times. Well, there you go...
