Not new to everyone else, of course, but today I finally got around to listening to the three Northern Portrait songs I possess. Turns out the Danish indie four-piece are rather good. Example, you say? Well, I've been suffering from what Rol euphemistically called "low mood" lately, but listening to Criminal Art Lovers, in particular, has cheered me somewhat.

A new name to me. Classic indie sound - slightly Gene-ish? Good stuff.

DeleteNew to me too and very charming. Sounds to me a little lilke the Smiths backed by the Byrds, although that doesn't really do it justice....

ReplyDeleteCertainly warrants investigation. From what I can see they were active 2007 to 2013, during which time there was one studio album, a load of EPs and one compilation album. Luckily for us, there's lots to listen to at soundcloud.com/northern-portrait
