Bands won't play no more

RIP Terry Hall, a relatable yet groundbreaking star, who seldom put a foot wrong. Taken so young, this feels sad indeed.

Here's one of the first songs, if not the first, that I taped from the radio.

  1. Shocked and sad at this news. Also have fond memories of taping this from the radio, it was like nothing else I'd heard. I would love to have seen them live.

    1. I was lucky enough to see them second time around, in 2019.

  2. I was really saddened to hear of this death today - he was so young and it was unexpected.

I feel privileged now to have seen him live all those years ago as part of the 2 Tone Tour. An exciting time in music.

    1. Yes, unique and yet relatable. Growing up, it was easy to imagine him being the cool kid in the top year at school or at the back of the bus - you could imagine being him.

Another icon gone. Great memories of Margate in 2019, hope he's listening to 2 Tone up there with Ranking Roger who also went way too soon. RIP.
