The party's (hopefully) over

I can't bring myself to write again about the mendacious pile of entitled self-interest that holds our highest office. We can only hope that his party will soon be over.

Here's an excellent live rendition of the title track from Talk Talk's first album, forty years old but still sounding fresh.

  1. I hope so, I really do. I'd like to see him dragged out by his heels and strung up from a lamppost but that's probably too much.

    1. It's the relentless "rules don't apply to me" entitlement that irks. The repeated lying is beyond the pale. You have to wonder, is there anything that would prompt him to resign?

  2. It's all too, too much. I've become one of those people who constantly swears at the TV. I'm just longing for the downfall of all these arrogant pricks! What with him, Prince A and Djokovic, and their chickens seemingly coming home to roost, are we on the verge of it, I wonder - or is that just too much to hope for?

    1. I saw Jon Sopel on Twitter earlier asking which of those three were having the worst week. Debra Meaden replied, "Us."

As great a track as any from the later deeper work of Mr Hollis for me,although I am somewhat of a Phillistine. As for the shambles at number ten there are indeed no words, mind you if Starmer is the other option I think I'll throw my lot in with Monster Raving Loony team, surely couldn't be any worse.

    1. I'm with you on the early Talk Talk recordings, mate. As for the business of government, maybe you and I should run the place - we could definitely do better!
