I don't know why I write this blog,
I'm really at a loss.
The hit count's low, the comments few;
The Web don't give a toss.
A guest post here, a retweet there,
But not much to delight in.
Maybe I should bin the lot
And do some proper writing.

ReplyDeleteThanks. I will carry on, I'm pretty sure of that. Blogging is like an unscratchable itch, and I quite like being able to shout, even if (next to) no-one is listening. This post is really more about how I need to use my writing time more wisely - have got some fiction that needs writing!
DeleteMartin, I sympathize. (Your poem is spot-on!) I started blogging in 2010, and it's been one long moan about the lack of comments (usually aimed at the marauding masses who download, though.)
