Blue Friday: Let Me Kiss You (cover)

Depressingly, it's probably only a matter of time before Steven turns up on the laughable GB "News" channel.

Until then, here's a great version of one of his songs, an ode to unequal love. The images are from Jean Cocteau's 1946 film La Belle et la Bête but you don't need to watch them, just listen to the song.

  1. Superb. The original is one of my favourites by Mr M and of course we feel we can't talk about that now.... but this suits Nancy so well, and we can talk about it! (I like the John Cocteau imagery too, especially the floating ending.)

    1. It's great, isn't it? And yes, we can talk about it! Since drafting this post last night, I've had the song in my head as a right old ear-worm, especially the lyric switch from "physically admire" to "physically despise". Whatever people might say about him, there's no denying SPM can conceive a good lyric.
