I wanted an excuse to post The Next Life, by Bernard-era Suede. Finding this clip of a live performance on Later, from 1993, gave me that excuse.

Yes, such a very powerful performance. Have you read Brett's two autobiographies btw? Very interesting to read more about the background to his and Bernard's relationship, and its breakdown, in 'Afternoons With the Blinds Drawn' if you haven't already.
